The origin of INTECH can be traced back to the pioneering work of Sri.P.V.Visveswaraya, who, in 1989 founded a business at Bangalore to engage in the design and manufacture of Lamp Making Machines which caters to manufacture of Electrical Lamps like GLS/Incandescent Lamps, Fluorescent Tube Lamps, Auto Lamps, Sodium/Mercury Vapour Lamps and Lamp Components Machinery like Lead-in-wire welding machines, import substitute sub assemblies, components and spares..
In this year 1989, INTECH took its initial steps to revolutionize its portfolio to plunge into machine building activity in India. Until this advent, the machineries and complete setup required for manufacture of different types of lamps was being imported from countries like Taiwan, China, Korea, England, France, Holland and Germany by reputed MNC’s like GE Lighting, Crompton Greaves, Orion, Philips India, Surya Roshni. To organize a setup for small industries and ancillaries was nearly impossible in the lighting industry. Even the MNC’s were looking out for ancillary setup to download their production as cost saving measures. This was the time, INTECH was found as a solution for procuring Lamp Manufacturing Plant & Machinery by small scale industries which was eventually feasible in terms of cost, reliability of machines, payback period and corresponding to required quality standards.
The industry expanded its operations by designing and manufacturing not only complete setup of Lamp Machines but started venturing into Special Purpose Machines required for automation of processes in Lamp Industries and FMCG Industries. It also started manufacturing custom made machines and special purpose machines to be implemented as cost saving measures, import substitutes and also to increase production capacities.
With their technological edge over design and competitiveness, the industry enhanced its global reach and carved out a position itself as an international player and recognized globally.
Presently, the industry has spread out its wings with diversified and upgraded portfolio with its next generation of family taking control of the operations.
